Project CategoryExterior
This project involved the 3D topographic modelling of the New Palace Yard, UK, the iconic square adjacent to Big Ben at the Palace of Westminster, London. With its rich historical significance and high-profile location, the project required the utmost precision and care.
The entire model was developed from a detailed point cloud provided by our client, ensuring millimetric accuracy and faithful reproduction of the existing conditions. Our team of CAD and BIM specialists produced a high-detail topographic model in Revit at LOD 400, capturing the site’s complex urban features. Special attention was paid to the fences and traditional lamp posts, key visual elements of the square. Due to the geometric complexity of the lamp posts, these elements were meticulously modeled in AutoCAD 3D and then seamlessly integrated into the Revit environment.
To showcase both the accuracy of the model and our expertise in visualisation, we generated a series of high-quality renders using Twinmotion. These visuals reinforce our capabilities in rendering heritage sites and public spaces.
